• How you met: We met in North Carolina in 1996 - he was dating a college friend of mine. After they broke up, we lost touch, but reconnected through another mutual friend in 2006 and fell in love. We had a long distance relationship (SF/LA) for a year before he moved to SF to be with me. The mutual friend that reintroduced us ended up being our officiant and marrying us! • How he proposed: Greg worked with my uncle, a jeweler, to create an engagement ring. In August, we came back to the East Coast for two weddings. I was the maid of honor in the first wedding in Maine. I was getting ready with my friend Carly when Greg pulled my parents aside to ask for my hand. While we were in Maine, my grandfather had fallen and was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. When we got back to the Cape after Carly's wedding, we went straight to his bedside. Greg memorized his phone number in the hospital and secretly called him to ask for my hand, too. On Wednesday, my brother Andrew skippered us out to the Outer Beach, where Greg proposed! After I said yes, he said, "So, can I go diving with your brother now?" That Saturday, we showed up at my friend Evan's wedding as a newly engaged couple - it was so exciting, and the perfect culmination to a week full of love. See the full story here.
